ok so I challenged my husband and I to read 3 books this summer since we won't be in school. So he wants to read C.S. Lewis books cause he loved Narnia as a kid and read those growing up. Ok so I need your help...he doesnt read A LOT-give me a good recommendation to get him into reading cause he hasn't read one book since we have been married or even together which is 3 years!!!

The Narnia books are always good, and they are quicks reads. As far as recommendations, I don't know what he's interested in. but here are some that I have read that might be good:

1. Riptide by Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child. This is probably the most guy-ish book I've read in a while. It's adventure fiction about a pirate treasure pit that was dug off the coast of Maine and the modern day treasure hunters that try to uncover it's mysteries. It has mild language and the occasional violence but every guy I know that's read it likes it.

2. Middleworld by J&P Voelkel. This is a young adult science fiction/fantasy that is part Indiana Jones and part Clash of the Titans. It is about a boy who goes looking for lost his archaeologist parents and gets tangled up in an ancient Mayan curse. I recently reread this with my boyfriend (who is a picky reader) and we loved it.

3. Another good one is Endurance by Alfred Lansing. This is nonfiction but very exciting. It is a narrative of an expedition lead by Sir Earnest Shackleton that set out to cross Antarctica but their ship got stuck in the ice flows and they never made it to the continent. But it's an amazing survival story.

I know this is a super long reply but those are some that I like. Any one else have suggestions?
