weekend bash

This last weekend was a fun summer blast in good ol' Utah. First we got to spend time with the Duncan cousins and hear Stephen talk for his farewell. He's going to the ripe mission of Spokane, Washington. Next Maddie and I got to stay at the Stubbs for 2 nights which was a blast like always. We even had the priviledge of being trained in the art of soccer by Coach Ivan.

Tuesday was the most eventful day. Uncle Todd, Aunt Joy, Abby, and Abby's friend Kendall came down to Fairview for a wonderful Pioneer Day - hillbillie style. We rode 4-wheelers, dirt bikes, pit bikes, played with the neighbors puppies, fed and chased cows, drove backhoes, broke down on the 4-wheeler and pushed it back to the property, went driving in the rain, got covered in mud from head to toe, recieved 3rd degree sunburns, took out some giant sagebrush, and stalled the klutch more times than should be allowed. It was so much fun and I can't wait for another day like it.

Babies-R-Us

My sister-in-law Susan had her baby on June 18, 2007. She weighed 7 lbs 9 oz and she is absolutely adorable. She looks a lot like her brother and the birthing process was relatively easy (haha). I felt so privileged in being able to be there when she was born. For those of you that don't know, the baby doesn't have an official name yet. However, Tyler decided long ago that her name was going to be "Babies-R-Us so that is what we have been calling her. Too bad she wasn't a boy so that we could call her Rusty. :) I must say, we were all pretty worn out but Susan is the toughest "Fiery Italian Mama" that I know.

O my dosh! Amy graduated!

Standing in line waiting to walk across the field, I realized that all of these kids were in the same situation that I was. We were all the same age, same class, and we were all about to close the only chapter of life that we'd ever known. Not that I cried - I didn't even get emotional. But I am going to miss things: the sense of having 40 other brothers and sisters (makes dating awkward), having everything close by and handed to you on a silver platter, and the teachers that actually care about you and not just what you learn. "Together we bond - GO CLASS OF 2007!"

Greece Trip 2007

Opa! For those who don't know, I went on a trip with my school to Greece over Spring Break. We had a blast! This picture was taken up on the acropolis of a small village called Lindos on the island of Rhodes. Our day in Rhodes was definitely my favorite part of the trip.

Here is a view of some of the ancient ruins on top of the acropolis in Lindos. The Aegean Sea (in the background) was the prettiest color of blue I had ever seen in any body of water.

The temple of Zeus right in the middle of Athens. It's not hard to imagine the great civilization that built this colossal and magnificent structures.

Sweethearts 2007

This is my friend from orchestra, Tim Wheeler, who was kind enough to ask me to the Sweethearts dance. As you might have noticed, it was Disney themed, and even though we were some of the few that were dressed up, we still had a fun time.

St. Valentine's Day

So, Tyler is pretty much the cutest kid ever. Just the other day, out of nowhere he stuck his head on the wall and said, "Look guys, I'm a wall-rus.".....yeah - funny kid.

Science Bowl Weekend

So there's nothing really exciting about this blog. I got it so that family could keep in touch with what I was doing when I go to college, but I might as well start now, hm?

Ok, so this weekend I participated in the Regional Science Bowl at UNLV. That was pretty fun, let me tell you. It was a definite nerd fest. We lost (big time) but we had fun...sort of.
